First, this: Before I wrote here, I wrote comedy. But now my comedy chops are rusty and dusty and I’m playing to a largely American crowd who’ll completely miss my British humour and genuinely want to know how much you get paid for 467 billion YouTube views. Cor blimey gov’ner, as we don’t say at home. It’s a lot.
Maybe I don’t give Americans enough credit for their humour. But then I see the US version of The Inbetweeners and want to projectile vomit. And then I see the US version of The Office and think ok, I’ll give you guys a chance. So here I am, already gently alienating non-Americans like a racist as I go.
Anyway, how much exactly did YouTube pay me for so many views that every human in the world has watched it at least 56 times?
