To me it’s a very simple answer. Eating animals creates suffering. It’s not necessary. We don’t take our morals from cavemen or lions, that would be insane.

So do we create unnecessary suffering by eating meat, or just eat something else?

The choice we make is simply to bring more suffering into the world, or to not. I choose not to. The rest is excuses.
