Why “Druggy” and “Crackhead” are Two of the Most Evil Words in the World

They bring some very dark psychology that will let us watch others suffer while we feel nothing

Of all the names people call others, I consider a few slurs right the up there with the worst.

Why? For two main reasons: they come with an image which is then applied to millions of people that it doesn’t logically apply to, and they dehumanise an entire group in a dark way that brings treatment in a way that no one deserves to be treated.

Pictures and images

To the drug-ignorant, the image of a ‘druggy’ or ‘crackhead’ (and its twin brother ‘smackhead’) is someone out of it on crack cocaine, heroin or similar, unable to function, may be homeless, and not contributing anything good to the world.

They may even be dangerous and aggressive because they’re desperate for food or drug money, or leave dirty needles lying around in public.

Then, to those who know nothing about the world of drugs and entheogens (nor care), that is applied not to the specific drugs that can lead to that kind of life, but generalised out to all “drugs”. Because drugs are drugs, and drugs lead to that kind of thing. In their minds, anyway.
